Appearance: Intense straw yellow with golden hues
Nose: From Viognier, we can only expect an opulent, sweet, and complex bouquet. Mineral notes of flint emerge first, with evident fruitiness including pineapple, yellow peach, melon, mango, and lychee. This is followed by floral notes of chamomile and white flowers, with a fresh herbal and aromatic finish reminiscent of Mediterranean scrub.
Palate: A very drinkable wine, it is very fresh in the mouth thanks to its acidic backbone driven by the typical minerality of these soils. The very brief time in wood helps to soften the sip, making it round and very smooth. The palate is precise with a modest persistence.
Viognier grapes, harvested in mid-September, undergo soft pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation, which may include a period in oak (tonneau) to enhance the structure. Without malolactic fermentation to preserve freshness, the wine matures in steel for at least eight months, integrating savouriness and softness. The production process concludes with a period of bottle aging to stabilize its elegant aromatic profile.
Perfect with fish dishes, white meats, fresh cheeses, and spicy but delicate cuisine.
ETICHETTA:

The Zazzera winery's story began around the mid-1960s, when the family produced their first wines for customers of their small country shop and for those who purchased the farm's other agricultural products. In those years, viticulture was only a part of a broader agricultural activity, alongside crops and livestock farming.
Over time, the company embarked on a path of evolution increasingly focused on wine production. In the last thirty years, this transformation has solidified with a precise choice: to progressively abandon other agricultural productions and concentrate exclusively on viticulture, investing in vineyards and the quality of its wines.
Today, after over half a century of history, Zazzera is a reality entirely dedicated to wine, with vineyards and a winery designed to maximize the value of its grapes and territory, continuing to combine family tradition with a contemporary vision.
