Appearance: Straw yellow
Nose: The aromatic profile is characterized by fruits such as green apple, plum, and pear. White and yellow flowers, broom, jasmine. The vegetal notes are equally fresh, reminiscent of grass, and finally, a note of dried fruit and almond, typical of this grape, emerges.
Palate: The sip is a testament to its freshness. The high acidity, absolutely characteristic of Grechetto di Todi, as well as the savoriness, offer a "svelte," light, savory, and vertical drink. The pleasant almond finish ultimately confirms the authenticity of this grape.
Born from the union of the Todi and Orvieto clones, this Grechetto is vinified in steel tanks with soft pressing and cold must clarification to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The wine ages for at least eight months in steel tanks on its lees without malolactic fermentation, thus ensuring its typical acidic backbone and varietal freshness. The final step involves bottle refining, essential to enhance its versatile drinkability and savory balance.
Perfect as an aperitif, thanks to its fresh and fragrant sip, it can accompany the entire meal, pairing well with pasta dishes, white meats, fish, and cheeses in general.
LABEL:
In the second Cantica of the Divine Comedy, specifically in Canto IX of Purgatorio, Dante and Virgil meet the guardian angel of the atoning souls. The label represents the encounter with the angel on the beach of Purgatory, the waves symbolize the surrounding sea, while the four stars represent those visible in the celestial sphere at that moment.
PURGATORIO LINE:
This line guides us towards a path of purification; these wines tell the story of the search for balance.
They are harmonious and measuredexpressions, in which freshness, finesse, and easy drinkabilityfind a precise synthesis. They do not aim to impose themselves with the character of the Inferno Line but are appreciated for their lightness and balance, elegant, immediate, and versatilewines, designed to accompany everyday life with quality.
Here the wine becomes more essential, without sacrificing personality. A selection that combines accessibility and quality, narrating the more measured side of our production.

The history of Zazzera winery began around the mid-1960s, when the family produced their first wines for customers of their small country shop and for those who purchased other farm products from the company. In those years, viticulture was only one part of a broader agricultural business, alongside cultivation and animal husbandry.
Over time, the company embarked on a path of evolution increasingly focused on wine production. Over the last thirty years, this transformation has solidified with a clear choice: to progressively abandon other agricultural productions and concentrate exclusively on viticulture, investing in vineyards and the quality of its wines.
Today, after over half a century of history, Zazzera is a reality entirely dedicated to wine, with vineyards and a winery designed to maximize the value of its grapes and territory, continuing to combine family tradition with a contemporary vision.
